hi chris,
a new game in the making.
here are the rules.
20 points are credited when a user guess who has posted the topic.
if you have les than 1000 points, you will never debite 20 when you guess incorrect.
if you guess correct, you win 20.
here is an example of a board post and how to guess that.
on monday, 1 feb 2007, someone posted the following:
sounds funny, i like the idea.
who posted the topic?

i don't see why it could be an option in who said that.

we already have quicknotes, so why not board topics?

I like the idea as well.
Though I wonder how it would be set up.
The quick notes are for the past five days or something like that, so the board topics would have to be like that as well.

Also, it would be verry easy to win this game. Think about it. One could have another window or tab open, just finding the topics and who posted them. This would be easy especially if a board search feature is aded. Seems kinda pointless to me.

but then, could someone do that with the quick notes if they're a premium member?

Probably good point. Never thought of that.

the thing about why this idea isn't good is that like john said, another window, real real easy to win this game.
the reason quicknotes are different is simply, it's a lot more to go through, the same flaw still exists.

ah, but if you use the jaws find, that can speed things up.
And depending on how berried the topic is that it comes up with will depend on how easy it is to find.
Granted it would be a little easier with the board posts, but not that much.
